SyncML has become the dominant industry standard for calendar, contacts and e-mail synchronization over the air (OTA) - secure, anywhere, anytime without extra client software. SyncML is backed by leading device manufacturers such as Nokia, Sony Ericsson and Motorola. Currently more than 350 handsets are available with built-in support for SyncML / OMA DS, including the latest devices targeted at business users requiring mobile e-mail, such as the Sony Ericsson P990i, M600i and the Nokia E61.

mp technology has extensive experience with the SyncML standard suite and provides consulting and implementation services to enable wireless synchronization of personal data to the mobiles phones of your customers or employees.

In 2006 mp technology has been contracted by NetCom, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the TeliaSonera Group with over 1.4 million GSM subscribers in Norway, to implement a SyncML based back-up and restore facility for personal data stored on mobile devices of Netcom's retail customers.
